Flight Companion connects your iPhone directly to your own Windows PC. The current version requires neither a user account nor a Flight Companion cloud server.

Required setup

Set the Windows network profile to “Private”

Windows 11 — follow these steps exactly:

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Select Network & internet.
  3. For Wi-Fi: select Wi-Fi, then select the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. For Ethernet: select Ethernet.
  4. Under Network profile type, select Private network.
  5. Restart Flight Companion Connector. Keep Windows Firewall enabled.
  1. Start Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and fully load a flight.
  2. Open Flight Companion Connector and wait for a successful simulator connection.
  3. Connect the PC and iPhone to the same normal home network. Guest networks may block communication between devices.
  4. Allow Flight Companion to access the local network in the iPhone settings.
  5. Enter the PC address in the app as ws://<PC IPv4>:8080/.
  6. If Windows asks, allow Flight Companion Connector through the firewall for private networks.

Flight Companion is intended solely for flight simulation and must not be used for real-world navigation or safety-critical decisions.
